Melbourne Party Teen on A Current Affair

Due to popular demand I have found a video of the sixteen year old Melbourne teenager Corey Delaney’s interview on the quasi-news program A Current Affair over his alcohol fueled party this past weekend:

I have to wonder how A Current Affair got permission to film a 16 year old on TV?  I doubt their parents would let their son on TV like this.  Also the condescending tone of A Current Affair host Leila McKinnon as if she was the boy’s mom I found annoying as well.  With that said though you can’t help but laugh at this interview though because it was hilarious.  I guess this what happens when you have a punk teenager on a tabloid news show, hilarity ensues. Everyone in that interview looked foolish when all is said and done.

I guess young Corey is going to see how hilarious this all is when his parents get home today, though judging by his attitude I am willing to bet he could care less.

Pretty damn funny…I’m glad you posted the video b/c the discussion about his glasses was something that you just have to see for yourself.

  2. simon downs Says:

    this interviewer is an idiot!
she tells him to grow up… when she is nagging him to take off his glasses like a 2 year old!

  3. Rowan Says:

I think this interviewer rocks. I would have given him a much harder time. What a little spoilt brat!! He needs more than stylist or a clue, he needs 5 min in a jail cell with hardened criminal to get a glimps of what the future holds for him.

  4. Rowan Says:

However, can we really say its all his fault. Somebody should be giving the parents a hard time for raising such a little monster.

  5. Dobbs Says:

Judging by his attitude you would think the parents would have some idea this guy is too immature to stay at home alone. I think he does have the makings of becoming a YouTube celebrity though.

  6. wc Says:

is it just me or this guy reminds me of an interview with warrick capper. i bet he got at least 10k for this interview as well.

What will become of Corey Delaney?

If this were America, they might make a movie!?

This interview really made me laugh and so few news stories do that. We are so used to watching celebrities behaving badly it is so refreshing to see a young local boy getting his 15 minutes of fame. I hope he utlises the opportunities that have now come his way. I guess we really do live in a global community !

  11. Loki82 Says:

Oh man theres some priceless lines in this video. The kids a dumb ass, but he’s wit is unmatchable compared to the tactics employed by a current affair.

  12. Jayson Says:

    Dam i love that
“wat would you say to other kids when there parents are out of town?”
“get me to do it for you”

    i LOL’d so hard!!!!

  13. Dobbs Says:

I have to agree that the kid is a dumbass but it sure telling when he has more wit than the A Current Affair announcer.

I wouldn’t really have a problem with him if he gave a sincere apology to all his neighbors and public servants that were effected by his party along with paying for damages to his neighbor’s property.

  16. Rowan Says:

I have to say that anyone who thinks this kid has wit, instead of plain ignorance is a halfwit themselves. Wit is when you actually say something smart and intellegent. This kid is just a smart ass.

Also can anyone please tell me why the reporter is getting such a hard time about giving the kid what he deserves?

Honestly, if people keep giving the kid compliments about his so called wit, he’s going to end up just like Warrik Cappa (who we all think is a major wanker)or dead in a gutter somewhere after shooting his dum mouth off to some other kid with a gun.

Lets all do him a favor and treat him with the same respect as he has treat all involved, and maybe, just maybe he’ll learn his lesson and turn out to be a decent bloke.

  17. Benzie Says:

With Rights comes Responsibility, with Responsibility comes consequences. It never ceases to amaze me how many parents are sucked in to thier children’s lies and deciet. Like hello wasn’t it bloody obvious to everyone before now that he’s an arrogant little turd who needed pulling into line years ago. Oh no that’s right “oh it wasn’t really my fault”.

  18. Rowan Says:

It sounds like he learnt that saying from his parents Benzie. You might have noticved that they havent apologised to anyone either. As a parent myself, that would have been the first thing I did. The second would have been a swift kick up the pants for my son.

  19. Corey Delaney Arrested & Banned from Wikipedia Says:

[…] own male Paris Hilton has now finally been arrested over his party […]

  20. muzz Says:

i can see were this kid is coming from, if random people turn up univited on the street its not really his fault, he could have evaded arrest if he wasnt such a smart arse and a show off if he sincerly appologised and was sincere in his attidude the problem would be less serious, and the interviewer was just plain annoying, the last couple of sentences ” Take a good look at yourself”, ” i have everyone has and they love it is definatly a burn for the interviewer

  21. Rowan Says:

The problem is Muzz, that everyone has taken a good hard look at this kid and if they are honest about it, most people think he is a wanker. I dont see how he burnt the interviewer at all.

Pretend you are a boss, do you want this guy to work for you.

Pretend you are a parent, do you want this guy as your son?

Pretend you are a teacher, do you want this guy in your class room?

If you can answer yes to any of the questions above, then “like” what were you thinking “man” - you missed the party of you life “dude”!

    What a numnut

  23. dan Says:

Haha stoked! this kid showed that news reporter whats what, everyone was young once, and theres no way he should get fined. You all would have probably loved that party if you had any humour..

and that reporter was the stuck up one asking to take his glasses off haaa

  24. Rowan Says:

What did he show the news reporter Dan? That he’s an arrogant twitt that has a distorted view of what people really think of him? Your right, I wish my friends and I were at that party so we could have kicked him and his freinds’ disrespectful little arses. There’s nothing funny about damaging other peoples property.

  25. dan Says:

Rowan your right that its not funny damaging other peoples property, However It wasn’t him, and there must be thousands of parties every night all round the world where exactly the same thing has happened. This news reporter is acting like his mother. he says “i’m sorry for everything that’s happened” and she says “take of your glasses and apologise”

Why does he have to take his glasses off to apologise, this shouldn’t even be a news story, they have just made it into a big deal. and looks like they’ve made him get a good job hosting parties and club nights aswell according to other utube videos.

  26. Rowan Says:

Thanks for your reply Dan. The problem I have with this is that he posted his party details on Myspace, or face book (not sure which one). What did he think was going to happen when he did that? If he had simply thrown a party and got gate crashed by uninvited people that would be a differnet story. He is directly responsible for all actions by his guests because he made the party details public.

You’re right there are a thousand parties were this happens, but 9 times out of 10, the hosts have been gate crashed by destructive kids. I’ve seen a dozen stories on ACA or Today tonight where parties have been gate crashed and not once have they blamed the hosts. This is a little different dont you think?
